The Panamera, Porsche’s flagship sedan, delivers both performance and convenience, setting the standard for sports sedans. Last year, the Panamera 4 was the best-selling Porsche sedan in South Korea. Many celebrities, athletes, and car enthusiasts choose the Panamera, and after a test drive, the reasons became clear.

Sleek Design and Performance

The Panamera’s sleek and sophisticated design immediately grabs attention. Its sharp front and rear profiles create a dynamic yet elegant appearance. The car radiates presence from any angle, making it a flawless automotive masterpiece.

Smooth Ride and Exceptional Handling

One of the Panamera’s most impressive features is its smooth ride over speed bumps. This is thanks to the Porsche Active Suspension Management system, which is standard for all Panamera 4 models. The system enhances ride quality and effectively absorbs road imperfections. Even modular speed bumps, which often cause harsh impacts, are crossed with remarkable smoothness.

The driving performance is outstanding. At high speeds, the Panamera maintains stability while delivering sports car-like performance. At lower speeds, its precise cornering stands out. Even when entering corners at higher-than-usual speeds, the all-wheel-drive system grips the road firmly, ensuring controlled, stable handling. The acceleration during highway overtakes is remarkable. Activating sport mode enhances the experience further with an engaging exhaust note.

Enjoyable Driving Experience with Advanced Features

Driving the Panamera is so enjoyable that adaptive cruise control is rarely needed. However, this system has a drawback: While maintaining a safe following distance, it is not particularly effective at detecting merging vehicles, making it less ideal for heavy urban traffic.

The interior reflects Porsche’s signature refinement and luxury. The ignition button is positioned to the left of the steering wheel, a tribute to the brand’s sports car heritage. The centrally located Chrono clock, an iconic Porsche feature, is stylish and easy to read while driving.

User-Friendly Technology

A dial on the right side of the steering wheel makes switching drive modes seamless. Drivers can switch between normal and sport plus modes without taking their eyes off the road. The passenger side features a 10.9-inch display, allowing access to vehicle information while ensuring the driver remains focused.

Impressive Performance and Practicality

The tested Porsche Panamera 4 has a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 369 lb-ft (51 kg·m) of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 5 seconds. Despite its sizable dimensions—198.8 inches (5,050 mm) in length, 76.2 inches (1,935 mm) in width, and 56.1 inches (1,425 mm) in height—the Panamera 4 is easy to maneuver and park.

The Panamera combines sports car excitement with family-friendly practicality. Its 17.4-cubic-foot (494 L) trunk offers ample cargo space. While the rear seating is not overly spacious, it comfortably accommodates a family of four, making it suitable for daily commutes and long-distance travel.
