Honda’s subcompact sedan City, which has been consistently popular in the Indian market, has released a limited-edition model: the City Apex Edition. The model is based on the existing V and VX trims and has two transmission options: manual transmission (MT) and continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The City, launched in 1998 and sold in the Indian market for over 25 years, is one of the oldest models in its class. Consumers have loved it for a long time due to continuous design improvements and technology upgrades. With the launch of the Apex Edition, Honda plans to strengthen the brand’s premium image further and target customers who want a premium sedan.
The Apex Edition’s most distinctive feature is its luxurious design, differentiating it from the existing model. The interior features a premium leatherette instrument panel, console garnish, and beige door padding. Seven-color ambient lights were also added, and exclusive seat covers and cushions enhanced the interior atmosphere further.

What are the distinguishing features of the Apex Edition?
The exterior of the Apex Edition was also differentiated from the existing model. The special identity of the limited edition model was emphasized by attaching the Apex Edition badge and emblem throughout the body. In addition, sophisticated design elements were added to create a more sporty feel.
Honda explained that the Apex Edition is not a simple design change but a strategic model to improve customer experience. In particular, considering that the demand for sedans is still high in the Indian market, it is characterized by emphasizing differentiated premium elements compared to competing models.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, stated that the City has been one of the most loved models in India for a long time and holds a key position within the Honda brand. He added they would offer a complete premium package through the Apex Edition. While the price of the Apex Edition has not yet been disclosed, it is expected to sell out quickly due to its limited production.
