At the 2025 New York International Auto Show held Wednesday at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the all-new Palisade, the fully redesigned second-generation model of its flagship full-size SUV, marking its official debut in the North American market. The new model, introduced six years after its predecessor, features a next-generation hybrid system and significant enhancements to both exterior styling and interior space, elevating its appeal as a premium SUV.
In particular, Hyundai also introduced the Palisade XRT Pro model for the first time globally. Designed with an off-road aesthetic, it features electronic all-wheel drive (AWD), rear electronic limited-slip differential (E-LSD), all-terrain tires, and a dedicated design package to improve off-road driving performance. Measuring 5,060 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,970 mm, the model offers a spacious and luxurious horizontal interior layout.

The new Palisade is available with two powertrains: a 3.5L gasoline engine and a 2.5L turbo hybrid system. The hybrid variant offers advanced convenience features comparable to dedicated electric vehicles, including indoor Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality and Stay Mode, which are particularly useful for camping and outdoor activities.
Advanced driver assistance systems include Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, and other intelligent safety technologies. The vehicle also comes with a range of convenience features such as Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, Digital Key 2, and a premium BOSE sound system.

Hyundai plans to launch the all-new Palisade and XRT Pro models in the North American market in the second half of this year, offering a wide range of powertrains and trim levels to further solidify its presence in the SUV segment.
North American Strategy and Sales Growth
José Muñoz, President and Global COO of Hyundai Motor Company, emphasized that the Palisade demonstrates Hyundai’s multi-powertrain strategy. He announced that the company aims to expand its lineup to include 21 electric vehicle models and 14 hybrid models by 2030, with a goal of reaching annual EV sales of 2 million units.
Randy Parker, CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, reported that U.S. sales in Q1 of this year rose 10% year-on-year, marking Hyundai’s best first-quarter performance to date. He also noted that Hyundai has broken monthly sales records for six consecutive months, reflecting a strong upward trend.

Social Responsibility and Customer Engagement
Hyundai also announced an additional $27 million donation for its Hope On Wheels campaign for pediatric cancer, marking the campaign’s 27th anniversary. The company’s cumulative donations now total 277 million USD, with expansion of the program to Canada and Mexico beginning this year.
