On Friday, Hyundai announced that three of its models—the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, and Tucson Hybrid—have won awards in the 2025 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars Awards presented by the U.S. news magazine U.S. News & World Report.
The 2025 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars Awards evaluates 115 electrified models based on quality, efficiency, and value. The awards recognize top performers in ten categories, with five each for hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs).
Hyundai secured wins in three categories. The IONIQ 5 clinched the Best Electric SUV title, praised for its balanced performance and comfortable ride quality, while the IONIQ 6 earned Best Electric Car for its class-leading efficiency, impressive range on a single charge, and a user-friendly infotainment system. The Tucson Hybrid took home the Best Hybrid SUV award, recognized for its sleek design, spacious interior, and commendable fuel economy.
All three Hyundai electrified models selected this year are consecutive winners, having received the same accolades in the previous year.
A Hyundai spokesperson expressed pride in the recognition, stating that the awards reaffirm the company’s leadership in both electrified and eco-friendly internal combustion engine vehicles, as well as product competitiveness. The company emphasized that they are committed to offering customers the best in quality and value through a diverse vehicle lineup in this increasingly competitive automotive market.
