Audi’s Electric A6 e-tron Boasts 392-Mile Range—Its Longest Yet

Audi USA has officially detailed specifications and pricing for its highly anticipated electric sedans—the A6 Sportback e-tron and S6 Sportback e-tron. Both vehicles, set to debut in the summer of 2025, promise the longest driving ranges and best aerodynamics among Audi’s expanding EV lineup.

A6 Sportback e-tron: Nearly 400 Miles of Range and Rapid Charging

When equipped with Audi’s Ultra Package, the rear-wheel-drive A6 Sportback e-tron achieves an impressive EPA-estimated range of up to 392 miles (approximately 630 km). The model comes standard with a 100 kWh battery pack, supporting rapid DC fast-charging of up to 270 kW. Thanks to advanced 800-volt architecture, charging from 10% to 80% capacity takes just 21 minutes.

Pricing for the A6 Sportback e-tron varies according to trim and drivetrain configurations. For rear-wheel-drive models:

  • Premium starts at $65,900
  • Premium Plus starts at $69,800
  • Prestige starts at $72,200

All-wheel-drive (AWD) variants offer slightly shorter range at 377 miles (approximately 606 km), but higher performance figures. AWD models can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds and have a top speed of 130 mph (approximately 209 km/h). AWD pricing is slightly higher:

  • Premium starts at $67,900
  • Premium Plus starts at $71,800
  • Prestige starts at $74,200

S6 Sportback e-tron: Performance-Oriented Electric Sports Sedan

Positioned as Audi’s higher-performance electric sedan, the S6 Sportback e-tron offers aggressive acceleration and sharper handling dynamics. Featuring standard all-wheel drive and riding on 20-inch wheels, the S6 variant achieves an EPA-estimated range of 324 miles (approximately 521 km).

Performance highlights for the S6 e-tron include a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 149 mph (approximately 240 km/h).

Pricing for the S6 Sportback e-tron starts at:

  • Premium: $78,700
  • Premium Plus: $82,200
  • Prestige: $84,600

Audi Aims for Stronger Presence in North American EV Market

With the new A6 and S6 Sportback e-tron models, Audi is significantly expanding and strengthening its electric sedan lineup in North America. Offering vehicles with extended driving ranges, ultra-fast charging capabilities, and robust yet refined performance, Audi is strategically positioning itself against major competitors like Tesla, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz in the premium electric vehicle segment.
