Now, a new player from the U.S. has entered the scene, focusing on practicality and performance. Telo Trucks, a California-based startup, has unveiled the MT1 — a compact electric pickup truck explicitly designed for urban environments.

Developed by EV Industry Veterans
The MT1 is the product of expertise of the biggest names in the EV industry. Jason Marks, an autonomous vehicle specialist, and Forrest North, co-creator of the Tesla Roadster, were heavily involved in its development. This high-level industry experience has resulted in a vehicle that combines compact size with impressive capability.
The vehicle’s most prominent feature is its city-friendly size. Its body is 3,860 mm (152.0 inches) long, 1,850 mm (72.8 inches) wide, and 1,680 mm (66.1 inches) high, which is relatively small for a pickup truck. Despite its small size, it has a load capacity of 907 kg (2,000 pounds), making it an efficient model in urban environments.

Powerful Performance and Impressive Range
The MT1 boasts powerful pickup truck performance. The dual motor model’s maximum output is 500 horsepower, and the zero-to-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time is only 4 seconds. In addition, it is equipped with a 106 kWh battery, which allows it to travel up to 563 km (350 miles) on a single charge. A fast charger can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes.
This model was also designed with safety in mind. It has advanced crash sensors, airbags, and a durable design. In addition, practical details such as a cargo cover, a pickup bed storage box, and a central passageway that extends along the road stand out.

Waiting for full-scale sales Is it possible to launch it in South Korea
The MT1 is currently in the prototype stage and undergoing safety and durability tests. It is scheduled to start full-scale sales at the end of 2025. The price starts at $41,520, and 3,700 people have already made reservations.
