On Wednesday, LG Electronics announced that it has been named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in the automotive sector for 2025.

Fast Company, a leading American business magazine founded in New York in 1995, has evaluated companies that have significantly impacted various industries since 2008. This year, the publication recognized innovative companies in 58 categories, with LG Electronics among the ten selected in the automotive sector.

LG credits this recognition to its Vehicle Component Solutions (VS) Business Unit, particularly its software-defined Vehicles (SDV) expertise. The VS Business Unit offers various SDV solutions, including in-vehicle infotainment systems, digital cockpits, telematics, and advanced driver-assistance systems.

The company aggressively targets the market with its SDV solution, LG αWare. This comprehensive platform includes PlayWare, which delivers high-quality audio and visual content experiences, and MetaWare, which provides drivers with helpful information and immersive in-vehicle experiences through AR/MR and AI technologies.

On the development side, LG αWare offers BaseWare, which enhances existing vehicle operating systems or supports the creation of new platforms. It also includes OpsWare, a tool that assists developers throughout the development process, from software integration to technical validation and deployment.

Eun Seok Hyun, Vice President and Head of LG’s VS Business Unit, stated, “We will continue to develop innovative SDV technologies that enhance the in-vehicle customer experience, further strengthening our position in the global mobility market.”
