Cadillac announced U.S. pricing for the Escalade IQL and opened official orders.

The Escalade IQL is an ultra-large luxury SUV built on an electric vehicle (EV) platform. It serves as the long-wheelbase version of the Escalade IQ EV.

With its spacious interior, powerful performance, and advanced technology, the Escalade IQL is expected to strengthen Cadillac’s position in the luxury electric SUV segment.

Longer Body, More Expansive Interior

Unlike its internal combustion engine counterpart, the Escalade IQL is built on GM’s BT1 EV platform. It is 5,830 mm (229.5 inches) long with a 3,460 mm (136.2 inches) wheelbase—107 mm (4.2 inches) longer than the Escalade IQ.

This extra length primarily benefits third-row passengers and cargo space. Third-row legroom increases by 112 mm (4.4 inches), bringing the total to 932 mm (36.7 inches).

The rear cargo area offers a massive 3,546 liters (125.2 cu ft) of space, while the frunk adds another 345 liters (12.2 cu ft). This generous capacity is ideal for large families and those who need to haul substantial cargo.

High Performance Meets Advanced Technology

The Escalade IQL uses GM’s Ultium platform and houses a 205 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering an EPA-estimated range of 740 km (460 miles). DC fast charging enables 187 km (116 miles) of range in just 10 minutes.

A high-performance dual-motor all-wheel-drive system is standard. In Velocity Max boost mode, it delivers 760 horsepower (567 kW) and 108.4 kg·m (784 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the Escalade IQL to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds.

The SUV also offers a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg (7,716 lb).

The interior is also luxurious. It features a 55-inch pillar-to-pillar curved display and a 21-speaker AKG Studio audio system.

Buyers can upgrade to a 42-speaker system. Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and air ride adaptive suspension ensure a refined ride.

An optional second-row VIP package adds massage, heated and ventilated seats, dual wireless charging pads, and fold-out tables. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system comes standard.

A standout feature is its bidirectional charging capability, which can power homes during emergencies.

$40,000 Premium Over Gas-Powered Model

The Escalade IQL starts at $132,695, with available options pushing the price higher.

That’s a $40,000 premium over the long-wheelbase, V8-powered Escalade, illustrating the cost of luxury electrification.

Production will begin in mid-2025 at GM’s Factory Zero in Michigan. As of now, there are no confirmed plans for an international release.
