Toyota has unveiled the sixth-generation model of its off-road-oriented SUV, the 4Runner, introducing a specially refined version emphasizing rugged performance even more.
The newly revealed variant, the 4Runner Trailhunter, features a more dynamic exterior and added off-road components that highlight the 4Runner’s core value as an adventure-ready vehicle.
Marking its sixth generation, the 4Runner Trailhunter is built on Toyota’s second-generation TNGA-F platform, a modern body-on-frame architecture that visually reinforces the SUV’s off-road identity.

The design showcases a bold, rugged aesthetic with straight lines and robust styling elements. It includes a specially designed body kit to protect the vehicle’s frame during off-road driving. Various features further enhance its unique appeal.
As the top-tier trim, the Trailhunter has auxiliary lighting integrated into the front body kit, all-terrain tires, and off-road-specific wheels, underscoring its durability in extreme environments.
Inside, the cabin is designed to reflect a solid and durable image, highlighted by rugged details. A larger display panel and a wide range of convenience features contribute to the vehicle’s overall value.

The highest-spec model in the lineup, the 4Runner Trailhunter, also offers premium touches. The interior features luxurious leather and refined finishes, ensuring superior off-road performance and a comfortable ride.
The powertrain pairs Toyota’s i-Force Max Hybrid system, also known as “Dual Boost Hybrid,” with a 2.4L turbocharged engine, a powerful electric motor, and an 8-speed transmission, delivering a combined output of 326 horsepower.
The model also has a 1.87 kWh battery, providing precise power distribution and control during everyday driving and on demanding terrain. It incorporates a wide array of off-road technologies to enhance overall performance.

Safety has also been a top priority, with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard across all trims. This ensures drivers enjoy a smoother, more comfortable ride during daily commutes.
Toyota plans to officially launch the sixth-generation 4Runner and the 4Runner Trailhunter in fall 2025.
