Mercedes-Benz unveiled pricing for the new EQS 350, starting at 147.6 million KRW (approximately $111,000) in South Korea.

The refreshed EQS model features significant upgrades, most notably the switch from Parasis to CATL batteries. Key improvements include increased driving range, premium comfort features, and enhanced driver assistance systems.

Battery Boost and Performance Enhancements

The EQS 350’s most significant update is its power source. The new CATL battery pack offers a capacity of 112.3 kWh, enabling a range of 464 km (288 miles) on a single charge—a 26 km (16-mile) improvement over the previous model.

Powered by a single motor, the EQS 350 produces 292 horsepower and 57.6 kg·m (425 lb-ft) of torque. It delivers an efficiency rating of 4.1 km/kWh (2.55 miles/kWh) with 20-inch wheels.

Luxury Features and Cutting-Edge Tech

The EQS 350 has premium features suited to a luxury sedan. Airmatic suspension and rear-wheel steering (up to 4.5 degrees) enhance driving stability and maneuverability.

The AMG Line styling package adds a sporty touch to the exterior and interior, paired with standard digital headlights and a panoramic sunroof.

The MBUX Hyperscreen spans the dashboard, combining a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 17.7-inch OLED central display, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen.

Standard features include ventilated and heated passenger seats, quad-zone climate control, a Nappa leather sports steering wheel, a memory package, Burmester 3D surround sound, an augmented reality head-up display, and a chauffeur package. The latest ADAS suite enhances both safety and convenience.

Rear-Wheel and All-Wheel Drive Options

The EQS lineup will include the rear-wheel-drive 350 and all-wheel-drive 450 4MATIC variants. Currently, pricing has been released only for the EQS 350.

Globally, Mercedes offers a wider EQS range, including the rear-wheel-drive EQS 450+, the all-wheel-drive EQS 450 4MATIC, the high-performance EQS 580 4MATIC, and the flagship AMG EQS.

The switch to CATL batteries and the resulting range improvement are expected to address range anxiety, a key concern for potential EV buyers.
