Genesis has unveiled the facelifted GV60, a compact electric SUV that has become a key model for the brand since its debut in October 2021. The GV60, nominated for the 2023 North American Car of the Year in the SUV category, has helped solidify Genesis’s presence on the global stage. The updated model promises even greater refinement and luxury with various design and technological enhancements.

Key Exterior Updates: Dynamic Elegance

In the case of the Genesis GV60, a facelift was performed. The most notable changes are the lamps, bumpers, and wheels. In the case of the new GV60, the headlamps that represent Genesis’s symbolic two lines have been newly applied with MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology. In addition, the design of the existing bumper has been modified to a more dynamic and three-dimensional design.

The change in wheels is also noticeable. For this facelift model, new 21-inch wheels were applied. The new wheels feature sharp 5-spokes that are dynamic and smooth, emphasizing the high-performance coupe style. This change in wheel design has created a new impression for the GV60 and maximizes Genesis’s pursuit of “dynamic elegance.”

Interior Overhaul: Luxury Meets Technology

The interior has undergone quite a few changes. Of course, the most bold change is the display. The bezel that separated the existing cluster and AVN screen has disappeared, and a 27-inch integrated display has been installed. This makes the future-oriented image of the GV60 and the Genesis brand stand out even more.

The changes have been made subtly except for applying the 27-inch integrated wide display. It has inherited the internal structure of the previously well-received electric type, including the Crystal Sphere. It has been made to emphasize the “beauty of the margin.”

Market Launch and Sales Outlook

The facelifted GV60 will launch in Q1 2025. More detailed specifications and pricing will be revealed closer to the release date. However, the GV60’s high price point remains challenging, especially in the competitive electric vehicle market.

While the facelift brings significant upgrades, it is unclear whether the changes will be enough to boost the GV60’s sales, especially if its pricing remains high. As the electric vehicle market continues to evolve, all eyes will be on how Genesis’s refined GV60 performs and whether it can establish itself as a more competitive offering in the premium EV space.
