Chinese EV startup LiFan Motors is set to launch its new B10 model on April 10 officially.

According to automotive news site CarNewsChina, the company plans to begin large-scale deliveries alongside the launch.

The B10 will be available in five trim levels, ranging from $15,200 to $19,400. This competitive pricing, combined with advanced features, generated significant market interest.

LiFan Motors developed the B10 for the compact electric crossover segment. It is the first vehicle in its price range to feature LiDAR technology, a first for EVs under 120,000 CNY (approximately $17,000).

The B10’s 8650 chip powers its autonomous driving assistance system, which supports self-driving features on highways and in cities.

The vehicle features an 8295 chip that runs a cloud-based large language model, enabling a sophisticated voice assistant. The cabin has a modular design, allowing users to add accessories such as foldable tables or phone mounts.

LiFan Motors worked with Stellantis’ Maserati team on chassis tuning to improve ride comfort and handling and enhance driving dynamics.

The B10 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 6.8 seconds. It offers two range options: 510 km (317 miles) or 600 km (373 miles). Fast charging allows the battery to go from 30% to 80% in 19 minutes.

LiFan Motors is also expanding into Europe. According to the Chinese embassy in Spain, Stellantis and LiFan Motors will jointly invest $200 million to manufacture the B10 in Zaragoza, northeastern Spain. Production is scheduled to begin in Q1 2026.

After considering sites in Germany and Slovakia, the companies selected Spain due to its strategic benefits. They are currently working to expand the local supply chain to take advantage of government incentives.

Spain was chosen for its lower labor costs and strong clean energy infrastructure. With major battery producers like CATL and AESC already operating in the region, Spain provides a supportive environment for EV manufacturing.

As the first model in LiFan’s B series, the B10 was designed with global markets in mind. Stellantis aims to bring high-tech, affordable EVs to international markets through this partnership. The European production plan marks a major step forward for Chinese automakers entering the region’s manufacturing space.
