BMW’s New All-Electric i4 M50 Hits 0–60 in 3.9 Seconds—And It’s a Four-Door

BMW Korea has officially unveiled its high-performance all-electric Gran Coupe, the New i4 M50 xDrive, in the domestic market.

The New i4 M50 xDrive is the performance-focused variant of the BMW i4 lineup, combining BMW M’s motorsport-derived technology for exceptional driving dynamics with the elegant design of a four-door coupe and the practicality of an all-electric vehicle (EV). This model maintains BMW M’s signature performance while incorporating fresh design elements and cutting-edge features to enhance its market appeal.

Powering the New i4 M50 xDrive are state-of-the-art eDrive electric motors on both axles, delivering a combined output of 544 horsepower and 795 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle sprints from 0 to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds, and its Adaptive M suspension ensures excellent stability and handling. The 84 kWh high-voltage battery provides a range of 387 km on a single charge, with an efficiency of 4.1 kWh/km (combined). Using DC fast charging, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.

The design emphasizes BMW M’s sporty DNA. The front features a distinctive horizontal bar-type BMW M kidney grille, while the interior boasts a red D-shaped M leather steering wheel. Equipped with BMW’s latest Operating System 8.5, the vehicle offers intuitive menus and quick access to functions.

Standard features include 19-inch bi-color double-spoke wheels, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, Sensatec leather sports seats, and a three-zone climate control system. The New i4 M50 xDrive Pro trim level adds premium touches like carbon fiber interior trim, M sport seats, and M seat belts.

Safety is enhanced by a suite of advanced driver assistance systems. The Driving Assistant Professional package includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and lane departure prevention. The Pro trim also offers a Parking Assistant with surround view and 3D view capabilities.

Pricing for the New i4 M50 xDrive starts at $63,675 while the New i4 M50 xDrive Pro is priced at $68,700.
