BMW Demonstrates Strong Competitiveness in the EV Market
The annual J.D. Power U.S. Electric Vehicle Ownership Experience Study evaluates owner satisfaction during the first year of EV ownership. This year’s survey gathered responses from 6,164 owners of 2024 and 2025 model-year battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
The study assessed ten key factors: driving performance, charging convenience, vehicle quality and reliability, operating costs, safety features, and technology. The BMW iX scored 790 out of 1,000 points, securing the top position overall and in the premium EV category. The BMW i4 followed closely with 783 points, confirming strong satisfaction among American consumers.
