KG Mobility announced that its Rexton Sports pickup truck has been recognized for its product quality and market potential in South Korea and global markets. Following an award in Turkey in January, the model has now been named the best pickup in Australia.

The Rexton Sports, marketed as the Musso in export markets, has been crowned Best Pickup for the second consecutive year by Drive, a leading Australian automotive website, as part of its Car of the Year 2025 (COTY 2025) awards.

Drive conducts an annual evaluation, selecting nominees across 12 categories, further divided into two or three price tiers per segment. The final winners are determined through comprehensive assessments and road tests.

In explaining their decision, Drive stated that the Rexton Sports has maintained superior product value over its competitors through continuous improvements. Its powerful powertrain, stable driving dynamics, comfortable and quiet interior, and advanced safety and convenience features stand out.

Australia’s automotive market is characterized by consumers who enjoy outdoor activities and often use caravans and similar vehicles. This growing market has seen a significant increase in market share and sales of SUVs and pickups, presenting KG Mobility with substantial growth opportunities.

Since establishing its first direct overseas sales subsidiary in Australia in 2018, KG Mobility has consistently recorded sales growth. This year, the company aims to export 7,000 units to Australia.

KG Mobility achieved its highest sales performance in a decade last year, with an 18.2% increase compared to 2023, reaching 72,011 units. This year, the company launched the Actyon in the Turkish market as its first global initiative, reinforcing its expansion strategy in international markets.

In January, KG Mobility reported selling 11,870 units in Turkey, a more than fivefold increase from 2023 (2,217 units). This growth earned the company the title of the Fastest-Growing Light Commercial Vehicle Brand and Car Brand in the country.

A spokesperson for KG Mobility stated that recognizing Rexton Sports as the best pickup in Australia underscores the product’s quality and market appeal domestically and internationally. This year, we plan to increase our sales volume through the successful launches of new models, such as the Musso EV and Torres Hybrid, aggressive expansion into new markets, and strengthened export strategies.
