Mercedes-Benz’s flagship luxury sedan, the 11th generation E-Class, has earned top safety ratings in Europe and South Korea.

In particular, it has been selected as the safest vehicle of 2024 by Europe’s most prestigious new car safety assessment, demonstrating its outstanding performance in the global market.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has achieved a remarkable milestone: It was named the safest vehicle of 2024 by Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme).

Established in 1997, Euro NCAP is a highly respected program managed by European transportation ministries and insurance associations. It’s known for its comprehensive evaluation of vehicles, including crash tests and the performance of various safety features.

In this assessment, the E-Class secured top scores across four critical areas: adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, pedestrian protection, and safety technologies. Thus, it was the safest vehicle evaluated in 2024.

Exceptional Performance in Domestic Safety Evaluations

The E-Class has also demonstrated its safety prowess in the domestic market. The entry-level E200 model achieved remarkable results in the 2024 Korean New Car Assessment Program (KNCAP) conducted by the Korea Automobile Testing & Research Institute (KATRI).

It secured the top overall score across three categories – crash safety, pedestrian safety, and accident prevention – encompassing 20 detailed evaluation criteria, earning the prestigious “Best Performer” award.

This result proves that the E-Class has secured the highest level of safety even under domestic road conditions and safety standards.

Proven Cost Reduction for Insurance Premiums

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class’s excellence extends beyond safety, also impacting operational costs.

The vehicle received a significantly improved rating of 16 in the Korea Insurance Development Institute vehicle safety ratings, jumping several tiers compared to previous models. This rating considers collision accidents, ease of repair, and actual loss ratio.

This evaluation is particularly noteworthy because it is based on actual accident data, a crucial indicator of a vehicle’s practical safety and economic viability.

With this improved rating, E-Class buyers can now maintain their vehicles with lower car insurance premiums, making it the optimal choice for consumers who prioritize safety.
