Mercedes-Benz Korea unveiled the second-generation, fully redesigned Mercedes-AMG GT at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, marking its first appearance in the country.
The Mercedes-AMG GT, a formidable rival to the Porsche 911, has evolved with enhanced performance while maintaining its motorsport DNA.
Second-Generation AMG GT: Bigger and More Powerful

The new AMG GT is built on a cutting-edge platform combining aluminum, steel, magnesium, and carbon fiber. The vehicle is 4728mm (186.3 inches) long and has a wheelbase of 2700mm (106.3 inches). It’s larger than its predecessor, blending stylish design with potent performance.
The GT 55 4MATIC+ model features AMG’s signature One Man, One Engine 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, paired with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed transmission. This powertrain delivers 476 horsepower and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.
This performance matches the first-generation GT R, the most powerful variant in the previous lineup. The new GT boasts impressive acceleration, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds.

The range-topping GT 63 S E Performance is a more powerful model. It features a high-performance hybrid system that combines the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with an electric motor.
This powerhouse generates 805 horsepower and 144.8 kg·m (1,047 lb-ft) of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.8 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating production AMG vehicle.

The new AMG GT has advanced performance features, including AMG Active Ride Control suspension, an electronic rear differential, and active rear-axle steering. These systems deliver precise handling and stable driving dynamics.
Expanded AMG Lineup

At the mobility show, Mercedes-Benz Korea showcased various models under the theme “Performance Luxury and Premium Customization” alongside the AMG GT.
The display featured the AMG E53 Hybrid, AMG CLE53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet, the new G-Class, and the G-Class Project MONDO G, collaborating with luxury fashion brand Moncler.
This limited-edition model, of which only 20 will be produced worldwide, reinterprets the 1990s style with a contemporary twist.

Mercedes-Benz Korea also introduced its exclusive vehicle customization program, MANUFAKTUR. This service lets customers personalize their vehicles with unique exterior colors and premium interior materials.
The Mercedes-AMG GT will be available in two variants in South Korea: the GT 55 4MATIC+ and the GT 63 S E Performance. The GT 55 4MATIC+ will be released in May, and the GT 63 S E Performance will follow in the year’s second half.
