At the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, Kia unveiled the Tasman Weekender, a special concept based on its first authentic pickup truck, the Tasman. The Weekender variant is tailored for outdoor lifestyles, boasting massive 35-inch tires and an array of off-road features, significantly boosting its capability in rough terrain.

The Tasman Weekender builds upon the rugged design and performance of the standard Tasman. It reinforces the pickup’s versatile image and promises exceptional performance across various driving conditions for outdoor enthusiasts.

Specifically engineered for overlanding aficionados, this model comes equipped with 35-inch tires optimized for tackling challenging trails.

The vehicle features body-colored overfenders enveloping the tires, enhancing its robust appearance. It also incorporates a multi-rail system for mounting action cameras and lanterns, boosting functionality for outdoor pursuits.

Drawing inspiration from an ARCTIC theme, the Weekender offers additional storage solutions like roof baskets and multi-tool boxes. These features cater to winter sports enthusiasts, whether they’re embarking on glacier tours or hitting the ski slopes, ensuring adaptability for diverse outdoor activities.

In addition to the Weekender concept, Kia’s Tasman exhibit featured the standard model and the off-road specialized X-Pro variant.

The X-Pro model boasts a ground clearance of 9.9 inches (252 mm), 1.1 inches (28 mm) higher than the standard model. This increased clearance and all-terrain tires make it better suited for conquering challenging landscapes. This model also features X-Trek technology, which maintains low-speed control through engine torque and brake hydraulic management. A “Rock” terrain mode tailored explicitly for mountainous landscapes further enhances its off-road prowess.
