The Q6L e-tron, tailored specifically for Chinese consumers, is set to launch by year-end. It will feature an advanced intelligent driving assistance system powered by Huawei technology. Helmut Stettner, CEO of Audi FAW NEV, underscored the significance of the Chinese market, stating that the company is working closely with local partners to develop products that cater to Chinese consumer preferences.

The Changchun facility has an annual production capacity exceeding 150,000 vehicles. A 9,100-ton press line, designed and manufactured by Chinese suppliers, will be utilized in the production of both the Q6L e-tron and A6L e-tron models.

Stettner emphasized China’s pivotal role in the premium EV market, noting Audi’s recognition of the country’s growth potential in this sector. China dominates the battery industry and is the global EV production and consumption leader. He acknowledged the Chinese government’s supportive policies as key drivers in the EV market’s development, creating new opportunities for market entry.

Audi is implementing a tailored strategy to strengthen its position in China’s EV market, with a long-term goal of growth in this crucial market.
