On Tuesday, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled its new Black Badge Spectre globally for the first time.

The Black Badge Spectre, a high-performance version of Rolls-Royce’s all-electric Spectre, delivers an impressive 659 horsepower (485 kW) and 1,075 Nm of torque. This vehicle, tailored to meet the exacting demands of Black Badge clientele known for their bold personalities and unique visions, introduces a daring exterior finish, refined interior details, and innovative bespoke options.

To align the Black Badge philosophy with real-world customer experiences, Rolls-Royce engineers analyzed anonymized driving data from select clients, covering hundreds of thousands of kilometers. The findings revealed that Black Badge owners favor short bursts of maximum power over long-distance travel.

Dr Bernhard Dressler, Director of Engineering, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, explained, “The development of Black Badge Spectre began with our deep understanding of engineering the uncompromising nature of the Black Badge character, overlaid with the detailed analysis of client feedback and their driving style.”

Catering to Black Badge customers who push beyond conventional boundaries, the Spectre offers bold dynamics and an uncompromising experience through powerful performance, immediate response, and precision engineering.

The Black Badge Spectre features two innovative driving modes inspired by Rolls-Royce’s legendary Merlin aircraft engine. The first, Infinity Mode, pays homage to the brand’s iconic infinity symbol. Activated by pressing the infinity button on the steering wheel, it unleashes the full 659 horsepower and provides an immediate throttle response.

The second, Spirited Mode, delivers instant acceleration. When the brake and accelerator are pressed simultaneously, the driver experiences haptic and visual feedback. When the brake is released, torque surges to 1,075 Nm, propelling the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds.

Rolls-Royce introduces the unique Vapor Violet exterior finish with the announcement of the Black Badge Spectre. Inspired by neon shades from the 1980s and 1990s club culture, this deep black and purple color contrasts with the Iced Black connect, creating an even more striking impression.

Clients can select from an extensive palette of 44,000 Rolls-Royce bespoke colors or work with the brand’s designers to create their exclusive shade. Additionally, a new Wcoachingline option is added, emphasizing the lower part of the vehicle and enhancing the majestic form and generous proportions of the Black Badge Spectre.

Chris Brownridge, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, stated that the Black Badge Spectre is the most powerful model Rolls-Royce has ever created. He emphasized that it was developed with a strong sense of purpose and focused on fulfilling their customers’ bold desires for self-expression from the beginning.
