Ferrari has announced plans to launch six new models this year, including its first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV).

According to Electrek on Tuesday, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna revealed that this electric car will be introduced in a unique way. Vigna previously stated, “People buy a Ferrari because when they buy a Ferrari, they have a lot of fun,” suggesting that the electric vehicle will likely follow a similar philosophy.

Last June, Ferrari opened a new e-building where its first electric vehicle will be produced. This facility will also manufacture e-motors, batteries, and inverters for next-generation EVs and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

The Ferrari EV will be unveiled on October 9. Its starting price will be at least €500,000. Ferrari finalizes its pricing about a month before launch, and a more precise price is expected to be announced in September.
