Hyundai Motor Company unveiled its innovative micro-mobility concepts, E3W and E4W, at Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang, South Korea.
The E3W and E4W concepts were developed based on Hyundai Motor Company’s theme of proliferating eco-friendly and safe micro-mobility and aim to provide sustainable solutions to improve urban mobility and last-mile connectivity.
This special exhibition, which will be held until April 28, is a valuable opportunity to experience the new paradigm of future urban transportation firsthand and has already attracted the attention of many visitors and industry insiders.
E3W and E4W, A New Paradigm of Urban Mobility

The E3W and E4W Concepts are concept models of electric three-wheelers and micro-four-wheelers that were first unveiled in India on January 18.
These innovative models were developed based on Hyundai’s vision of ‘promoting eco-friendly and safe micro mobility’ and aim to provide sustainable solutions for improving urban mobility and last-mile connectivity.
The E3W Concept is an electric three-wheeler that is a modern reinterpretation of India’s traditional auto rickshaw, featuring a compact size and excellent maneuverability.

It is especially designed to be able to drive in narrow alleys easily, and it has a body height adjustment function so that it can respond to extreme road conditions such as floods.
In addition, the wheelbase is 280mm (11.0 inches) longer than the existing rickshaw, which has expanded the interior space, and the independent rear suspension has solved the chronic stability problem of three-wheeled vehicles.
In addition, the E4W concept is a compact electric four-wheeled vehicle with a design reminiscent of a golf cart, and a traditional steering wheel is applied. In particular, the wide-angled windshield has improved visibility and safety, and the flat floor design has maximized legroom and cargo space.

It offers a customized storage solution with modular internal panels and is designed to be suitable for India’s harsh climate conditions using heat and water-resistant materials.
India Market Conquest and Global Expansion Strategy

Hyundai has partnered with TVS Motors of India to develop the E3W and E4W concepts. While the E3W is likely to be produced in collaboration with TVS Motors and sold only in the Indian market, the E4W will be mass-produced as a global model.
In particular, the E3W and E4W concept models are optimized for various business purposes beyond simple passenger transportation, such as cargo transportation and emergency response, and various accessories, such as adjustable storage compartments and dedicated smartphone holders, are placed to maximize user convenience.
In addition, it is designed with driver convenience in mind, such as a water bottle holder and USB charging port, and it also provides convenience for the disabled through foldable seats and wheelchair accessibility functions.

In addition, Hyundai plans to finish the roof of the E3W and E4W concept mass-production vehicles with glossy black paint to reduce internal thermal conductivity, and the interior materials are expected to be made of waterproof materials.
Meanwhile, the special exhibition of the E3W and E4W concept currently underway at Hyundai Motor Studio Goyang, South Korea is a great opportunity to see the future of innovative micro-mobility firsthand, and will continue until April 28.
