Honda and Acura electric vehicle (EV) owners in the U.S. will soon be able to charge their cars at Tesla’s expansive Supercharger network starting this summer.

According to a report from The Verge, Honda and Acura vehicles will have access to over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across North America beginning in June.

This new charging feature will be available exclusively for Honda’s Prologue and Acura’s ZDX EV models. Both brands plan to make EV charging adapters available through their dealership networks.

The adapters for Honda and Acura will convert existing CCS1 ports to Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors. Their design is expected to resemble Ford’s Lectron model. However, unlike Ford and Hyundai, Honda has not announced plans to provide these adapters for free. Even without the adapter, some Tesla Superchargers will still offer charging through the Magic Dock adapter.

Last year, Honda joined other automakers in agreeing to adopt Tesla’s standardized EV charging connector. The Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX are the only EV models from the two brands in the U.S. Both models are built on General Motors (GM) ‘s electric vehicle platform, which is also shared with the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
