Leapmotor has made a strong entry into the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of its new electric crossover, the B10.
Leapmotor, a Chinese EV manufacturer backed by Stellantis, received over 30,000 pre-orders for the B10 within just 48 hours of launching pre-sales.
The response was overwhelming, with more than 15,000 orders placed in the first hour alone.
Compact SUV Size with a Futuristic Design

The B10 is a compact SUV with a spacious interior. It measures 4,515 mm (177.6 inches) in length, 1,885 mm (74.2 inches) in width, and 1,655 mm (65.2 inches) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm (107.5 inches). Compared to its class rivals, the B10 offers well-balanced proportions.
The exterior highlights a futuristic aesthetic. Slim, elongated LED daytime running lights integrate seamlessly with the headlights and air intakes, creating a sporty look.
A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor enhances autonomous driving capabilities, while flush door handles and an integrated taillight design contribute to its sleek appearance.
The interior features a driver-centric digital cockpit. It includes a 14.6-inch floating display, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a two-spoke D-shaped steering wheel, and dual wireless charging pads in the center console, enhancing convenience.
The front passenger seat features special anchor points for installing a fold-out table.
372-mile Range and Advanced Autonomous Driving

The base B10 is powered by a 132 kW (177 hp) electric motor, while the high-performance variant features a 160 kW (214 hp) motor that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
The standard model has a 56.2 kWh LFP battery, which provides a maximum range of 510 km (317 miles) under the CLTC cycle. The long-range model, with a 67.1 kWh battery, extends the range to 600 km (373 miles), making it ideal for long-distance travel.
One of the B10’s key advantages is its advanced autonomous driving features.
The roof-mounted LiDAR sensor enhances the vehicle’s ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), supporting 26 driving assistance functions, including smart parking and obstacle avoidance.
Buyers can choose from six exterior colors: purple, light gray, white, silver, black, and dark gray. The interior is finished in a sophisticated combination of gray and purple.
Competitive Pricing That Outshines Rivals

The B10 is available in five trims, with prices ranging from 109,800 CNY (approximately $15,000) to 139,800 CNY (approximately $19,000).
LiDAR sensors come standard on the top two trims, making it even more competitively priced than its rival, the BYD Atto 3, which ranges from 115,800 CNY (approximately $16,023) to 145,800 CNY (approximately $20,174).
Leapmotor developed the B10 using its LEAP 3.5 EV platform and plans to introduce additional EV models based on this architecture.

Industry analysts closely watch how the B10’s success will influence Leapmotor’s global strategy.
