Tesla has introduced a number of new features that will further enhance the driver experience through its 2025 Spring Update software update.

On Wednesday, IT media TechRadar summarized the main improvements, saying that this update, which will be applied to Tesla’s main vehicles such as the Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck, focuses on safety and convenience.

First, the adaptive headlight function has been improved. Tesla has introduced a new adaptive headlight function in the United States and Canada. This function automatically adjusts the direction and brightness of the headlights, minimizing glare on drivers of oncoming vehicles or pedestrians. It can also adjust the focus of the light on curved roads.

In addition, the navigation and route optimization functions have been improved. This allows drivers to select various route planning options more clearly, and drivers can more flexibly select options such as the shortest time and best convenience in the navigation according to their personal preferences. In particular, convenience has been increased when driving long distances, as information on attractions around superchargers can be provided.

Another key feature of this update is the dashcam and sentry mode recording using the B-pillar camera on the side of the vehicle. In addition to the existing four cameras, the B-pillar camera has been added to monitor the 360-degree environment around the vehicle. This can be expected to provide higher security as it can respond to various problems that may occur while parking. The dashcam viewer app has also been improved to allow the viewing of multiple camera images on one screen, and the swipe function can be used to quickly navigate through the images.

In addition, blind spot camera feeds have been added for Model S and Model X drivers. This is an expansion of the function that was previously only available on the central touchscreen when a blind spot warning is displayed on the vehicle’s instrument panel. In addition, Model 3 and Model Y with AMD chips feature new visual updates. An immersive full-screen vehicle control interface is provided when parking and large playback controls have been added to the media player to quickly access recent playlists, favorites, and the next song.

In addition, a feature has been added that displays an emergency vehicle warning on the display when the vehicle detects a siren to help drivers quickly recognize their surroundings, and USB ports and phone charging are now available even after the vehicle is locked.

Tesla is sequentially distributing this update through the OTA (Over-the-air) method, which is a function that wirelessly upgrades car functions, and drivers can check the update on the software tab of the vehicle’s touchscreen.
