Rolling Royalty: Why the Maybach S-Class Isn’t Just a Car—It’s a Statement

Mercedes-Benz Maybach is the top brand within Mercedes-Benz, offering the ultimate in luxury. Based on the traditional values of the brand’s history, it implements the highest level of luxury, and by adding innovation, it provides a more comfortable and relaxing luxury experience.

The ultimate ride quality that the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class aims for can be felt throughout the drive. You can experience first-class comfort in seats with suppressed external noise and vibration, and this is the result of the vehicle combining Mercedes-Benz’s high-quality technology with Maybach’s uniqueness to provide a unique and sophisticated luxury experience. Future luxury has been realized through continuous innovation and evolution.

Ultimate Comfort with Exclusive Driving Mode and Airmatic System

The Maybach S 580 model is equipped with a V8 gasoline engine (M176) that generates a maximum output of 503 horsepower and a maximum torque of 71.4 kg.m. The Maybach S 680 model is equipped with a V12 gasoline engine (M279M) that generates a maximum output of 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 91.7 kg.m and boasts a comfortable ride in any road environment.

In particular, the Maybach exclusive mode of Dynamic Select, which allows you to change the driving mode, provides special comfort to rear-seat passengers. This mode, which is applied only to Maybach vehicles, prioritizes rear-seat ride comfort, making acceleration smoother when driving. In addition, the smooth low-speed shift arrangement and 2nd gear to start minimize body movement, and the power transmission is smooth, maximizing the comfort of the suspension.

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class, has also improved NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness). By applying IR laminated glass, which is a film layer inserted between the glass, as standard, it effectively blocks external noise and infrared rays while driving, and improves interior quietness and temperature maintenance ability. In addition, by applying low-noise tires with foam material inside the tire tread as standard, tire resonance noise is minimized.

The Maybach S 580 is equipped with E-Active Body Control, which provides outstanding handling that combines off-road quality, comfort, precision and dynamics. The high-performance control unit analyzes the driving situation 1,000 times per second and automatically adjusts the damping and level control for each wheel according to conditions, speed, and load, effectively compensating for pitch, rolling, and shocks, ensuring excellent ride quality and stability under any road conditions.

The Maybach S 680 is equipped with airmatic suspension, which provides a comfortable ride quality and stable driving on both flat and bumpy roads. The adaptive damping system reacts sensitively to irregular road surfaces and controls each wheel individually to improve driving stability. The self-leveling function automatically lowers the body when driving at high speeds, enhancing handling performance and dynamics, and reducing wind resistance and fuel consumption. The suspension height can also be adjusted if necessary.

State-of-the-art Safety and the Ultimate Comfort

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class is equipped with various safety and convenience features that apply cutting-edge technology as standard to provide the best comfort comparable to first class to rear seat passengers.

From digital lights that provide high-resolution lighting of over 2 million pixels to rear seat airbags that protect the heads and necks of rear seat passengers in the event of a collision, to advanced driving assistance packages, they are applied as standard to support safer driving.

The rear seat headrests have built-in heating functions that warm the neck and shoulders along with cushions, and the executive seats allow the backrest angle to be adjusted up to 43.5 degrees. The leg rests can be adjusted up to 50 degrees, allowing you to lean back more comfortably with the push of a button.

In addition, the chauffeur package is applied as standard to expand the rear seat space by moving the front passenger seat forward up to 77 mm (3.0 inches), and the front seat headrests can be adjusted to provide a wider field of vision to rear seat passengers. The footrest underneath the front passenger seat can be folded out, allowing you to relax with your legs stretched out. The electric rear comfort doors allow you to easily open and close the rear doors even on slopes.

In addition, if you select the first-class rear seat option, which includes a business center console and temperature-controlled cup holders, you can experience a wider and more comfortable rear seat space for four people.

The energizing package, which is applied as standard to the front and rear seats, provides six programs according to the driver’s condition, and creates an optimal environment by integrating and controlling the interior temperature, heating and ventilation functions, ambient light, music, and massage functions.

The second-generation MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system supports intuitive vehicle function operation, and you can conveniently receive route guidance even in complex traffic situations through augmented reality navigation. In addition, the adaptive rear seat lights applied as standard can adjust the interior lighting brightness and position to suit the passenger’s preference.
