Jeep plans to launch the refreshed version of its unique convertible pickup truck, the New Gladiator, in the Korean market this month.

The New Gladiator is built on the body-on-frame architecture of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, enhancing its already robust design with upgraded details. It significantly improves performance and safety features to align with the growing premium leisure market.

Refined Design and Cutting-Edge Features

The new Gladiator features a classic seven-slot grille with thinner slots than its predecessor, improving cooling efficiency.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels and BF Goodrich 33-inch all-terrain tires. Buyers can choose from eight exterior colors, including three new options.

Like the new Wrangler, the windshield has been upgraded to Corning’s Gorilla Glass to protect it better against road debris.

The interior features 12-way power Nappa leather seats and a 12.3-inch full-touch display. New features include side curtain airbags for front and rear passengers and a dashboard camera mount.

The Gladiator has built-in navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and advanced driver assistance systems for enhanced safety.

Robust Performance for Outdoor Enthusiasts

The new Gladiator has a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar gasoline engine, delivering 285 horsepower and 36 kg·m (260 lb-ft) of torque.

An 8-speed automatic transmission, 4×4 system, and rear differential lock come standard, enabling a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs).

The truck’s high-strength steel chassis is engineered to distribute impact forces effectively during collisions. Its long wheelbase ensures stable towing of boats, trailers, and RVs.

Targeting the Premium Leisure Market

The Gladiator’s unique selling point is its status as the segment’s only convertible pickup truck. With a removable hardtop and foldable windshield, it offers unparalleled open-air driving for adventure seekers.

A Jeep spokesperson commented that today’s consumers view vehicles not just as transportation but as tools that support their lifestyles. The Gladiator is perfectly positioned to meet these current market demands.

Pricing is expected to start in the low to mid-80 million KRW range (approximately $60,000 to $68,000).
