Amid growing global instability, INKAS Armored, a Canadian vehicle protection specialist, has unveiled a fully armored version of Toyota’s popular Land Cruiser 250 SUV. This vehicle offers top-tier BR6-level protection—the highest civilian rating available—and is designed to meet surging demand among VIP and high-security clients.

Unlike standard off-road variants, INKAS’ armored Land Cruiser 250 prioritizes comprehensive security, effectively setting a new benchmark in the luxury armored vehicle segment.

Industry-Leading Bulletproof Protection

At the core of the armored Land Cruiser is an advanced, comprehensive armor system. The vehicle utilizes specially engineered ballistic steel plating and bullet-resistant glass. These materials adhere strictly to the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) guidelines, providing seamless, full-body protection covering the vehicle’s front, sides, and roof.

Each panel joint is precision-sealed to eliminate any vulnerability to projectile penetration. Underneath, reinforced armor plating covers critical areas like the underbody and fuel tank, offering enhanced defense against explosive threats.

INKAS integrates a double tailgate structure at the vehicle’s rear for additional protection against rear attacks. Standard-equipped run-flat tires allow the SUV to continue driving safely at high speeds, even if damaged, ensuring occupants can escape dangerous situations.

Optional survival equipment, including a fire suppression system and emergency oxygen filtration systems, is available for further protection in extreme scenarios. Additional security features like emergency lights, roof escape hatches, and reinforced engine compartment armor can be tailored to customer specifications, demonstrating the vehicle’s flexibility and premium appeal.

Suspension Redesigned for Armor’s Added Weight

The most challenging aspect of bulletproof vehicle construction is managing the considerable added weight of armored materials. Since armor plating and related equipment can add hundreds or even thousands of pounds, INKAS has thoroughly redesigned the Land Cruiser’s suspension system. The re-engineered suspension effectively manages ride height and controls body roll, delivering stable handling both on paved city streets and challenging terrain.

Under the hood, INKAS retains Toyota’s original hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine coupled to an electric motor. This hybrid drivetrain comfortably manages the extra weight by generating a combined output of 330 horsepower and 62 kg·m (approximately 448 lb-ft) of torque. Importantly, this configuration also provides significant fuel efficiency and reduced noise compared to traditional diesel-powered armored vehicles.

Premium Interior Designed for VIP Comfort

The armored Land Cruiser’s interior retains Toyota’s luxurious standard layout, which is further refined to accommodate VIP transportation needs. High-quality leather upholstery, improved soundproofing, and integrated communications technology are included to enhance occupant comfort and connectivity.

Ultimately, INKAS Armored has created a highly secure vehicle and a genuinely premium SUV. Behind the wheel of this Land Cruiser 250, occupants can confidently face potential threats without sacrificing comfort or prestige.
