Honda is boosting the competitiveness of its subcompact SUV, the WR-V, with a range of updates aimed at younger, urban buyers—particularly women. It introduces a new special edition trim with its latest refresh, improved interior materials, and fresh exterior colors.
New Black Style Trim Targets Urban Appeal
The most prominent addition is the Black Style edition, available on the WR-V’s Z and Z+ trims. This variant features crystal black pearl accents across the side mirrors, door handles, and shark fin antenna. Unique 17-inch Belina black alloy wheels further distinguish its exterior.
Inside, the WR-V Black Style delivers a more refined cabin experience with black-stitched combination seats and piano black trim elements, creating a more premium, mature atmosphere within its segment.

Bold New Color: Obsidian Blue Pearl
In response to the growing demand for expressive exterior options, Honda has introduced a new color—Obsidian Blue Pearl. Early consumer feedback has been positive, with showroom visitors praising its distinctive tone. The color adds a modern, confident feel to the WR-V’s design, reinforcing its dual urban and light off-road positioning.
Best-in-Class Cargo Capacity in a Compact Footprint
The WR-V’s biggest weapon is its ample space utilization. In terms of size, the body is similar to Honda’s Vezel at 4,325mm (170.3 inches) in length, 1,790mm (70.5 inches) in width, and 1,650mm (65.0 inches) in height, but it boasts a best-in-class loading space of 458 liters. The trunk’s lower storage space and flat wall structure show high usability in various situations such as camping, shopping, and daily driving.

Refined Driving Dynamics and Standard Honda Sensing Safety Suite
The WR-V is powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC gasoline engine paired with a CVT transmission, delivering a smooth and balanced driving experience. Based on the Fit platform, the chassis has been tuned with specialized suspension and electric power steering, providing responsive handling in both city and highway settings.
A standout feature across all trims is the inclusion of Honda Sensing as standard equipment. The safety suite incorporates collision mitigation braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control, positioning the WR-V as a well-rounded family SUV with high-value safety credentials.
