As the era of internal combustion engines fades, Hennessey partnered with legendary racing engine manufacturer Ilmor Engineering to introduce another monstrous sports car. This is not just about speed; it’s a declaration aimed at pushing the physical limits that internal combustion engines can achieve. The result of this collaboration, the Venom F5 Evolution, achieves an unprecedented 2,031 horsepower for a production car, aiming for the title of the fastest production car.

Hennessey has revealed that the Venom F5 Evolution is not just about power. It can accelerate from 0 to 320 km/h (0 to 199 mph) in 10.3 seconds. This figure is comparable to the time it takes most gasoline SUVs to reach 100 km/h (62 mph), making it an astonishing achievement. Even more remarkable is that this is not just a show car; over 30 units have already been delivered.

2,031 Horsepower Fury V8: A New Benchmark for Internal Combustion

The core of the Venom F5 Evolution is the updated 6.6-liter Fury V8 engine, modified by Ilmor, a renowned engine manufacturer known for its work in IndyCar. The engine now includes oval billet pistons, titanium exhaust valves, and oversized mirror turbos. Using Shell E85 fuel, it produces 2,031 horsepower, powered solely by the internal combustion engine without any electric assistance.

This engine outperforms typical hypercars with a peak torque of 1,960 Nm (1,446 lb-ft). This version marks an upgrade from the previous 1,800-horsepower model, with improvements based on customer feedback, further optimizing performance.

The Venom F5 Evolution also offers enhanced comfort features. It includes carbon fiber cup holders, new seats designed for long-distance driving, and improved exhaust sound, making it a technical marvel and a more practical super GT.

Aerodynamics and Suspension Improvements Represent the Essence of Engineering

Hennessey didn’t just increase power with the Venom F5 Evolution; they also enhanced its aerodynamic performance by bringing in Mark Handford, a former Formula 1 aerodynamicist. As a result, the front splitter, underbody diffuser, and rear Gurney lip have been redesigned to improve high-speed stability significantly.

The suspension system now features an adaptive setup with five modes, allowing for adjustments to suit everything from cruising to track driving. The chassis stiffness has been more precisely tuned, improving cornering performance and curb handling during real-world driving.

The Venom F5 Evolution is more than just a performance package; it is the ultimate model to mark the end of the internal combustion engine era. This limited-production beast isn’t just a fast car—it represents the pinnacle of what internal combustion technology can achieve.
