Enhanced Off-Road Performance with a 6×4 System

The original Suzuki Jimny is celebrated for its lightweight body and impressive off-road ability. However, a British vehicle enthusiast sought even more power, creating a 6×4 system. This modification involves adding a third axle to the existing 3-door body, significantly enhancing the vehicle’s off-road performance. The extended wheelbase and new axle provide greater stability and make tackling rough, challenging terrain easier.

The vehicle’s rear has also been customized to incorporate a practical loading space, adding functionality. The exterior design maintains the Jimny’s signature style but with a more imposing presence. The vehicle is finished in Audi’s ‘Nardo Gray’ color, and black molding and custom wheels give it a bold and rugged appearance, signaling that it’s not just a modified Jimny but a true off-road monster.

Interior Upgrades and Performance Enhancements

The Jimny has received several upgrades inside to enhance comfort and practicality. While the design remains functional, the addition of quilted leather seats and door panels, along with a new infotainment system, gives the interior a more refined feel. However, the focus remains on off-road performance, with ergonomic design elements to reduce fatigue during long-distance, rough-terrain driving.

Performance-wise, the modified Jimny surpasses the standard model’s capabilities. The base model has a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine that generates 103 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque. With a Garrett turbocharger, upgraded injectors, and an intercooler, the torque can be boosted to 170 horsepower and 270 Nm—far exceeding the original Jimny’s power and making it a more formidable contender in off-road driving.

Price and Appeal: A Practical Off-Road Beast

The price for this 6×4 modified Jimny is £45,000 (approximately $58,160), which is a significant investment but still more affordable than high-end off-road models like the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6. For those looking for even more extreme modifications, a 6×6 version is available for an additional cost.

This 6×4 Jimny stands out not only for its exterior changes but also for its unparalleled off-road performance. It’s ideal for enthusiasts who want a practical, original, and powerful off-road vehicle capable of conquering the toughest terrain.
