Audi revealed its fully redesigned ninth-generation A6 sedan for 2026 in Europe.
The new A6 sedan, built on Audi’s latest internal combustion engine platform, Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), showcases major changes, from its aerodynamic design to a fully digitalized interior.
This model boasts the lowest drag coefficient of any internal combustion vehicle Audi has ever produced, generating considerable attention.
Evolved Exterior Design

The new A6 sedan is 4,990 mm (196.5 inches) long, which is about 60 mm (2.4 inches) longer than the previous generation. Its wheelbase is 2,925 mm (115.2 inches), offering ample space that matches its size.
The most striking feature is its aerodynamically optimized design, achieving an impressive drag coefficient of 0.23 Cd, the best for any internal combustion vehicle in Audi’s history.
The front end features a low-positioned single-frame grille and sharply designed headlights, while air curtains and a bumper spoiler improve overall efficiency.

Thanks to the long wheelbase, the side profile showcases stable proportions, while the rear features tail lamps with intricate graphics and a lighting bar that connects both sides, adding a modern touch.
Interior Transformed Into a Digital Cockpit

The interior represents the most significant change, featuring a digital stage with up to three large screens: an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and a 10.9-inch passenger-side display.
The cabin has advanced features including a 4-zone air conditioning system, ambient lighting, a Bang & Olufsen audio system with up to 20 speakers, and a panoramic glass roof with a digital curtain function. Front seats with ventilation and heating, as well as a head-up display, further enhance convenience.
The interior’s noise insulation has been improved by 30%, thanks to reinforced door and window sealing, upgraded powertrain mounts, and newly added laminated rear windows. The 40:20:40 folding feature for the second-row seats has also enhanced practicality.
Powerful Performance Meets Cutting-Edge Driving Tech

The powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine, a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder gasoline engine, and a standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine combined with a 48V mild-hybrid plus system.
The 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine, with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and the Quattro AWD system, delivers an impressive 367 horsepower.
The driving performance has also been significantly improved. The standard suspension has been enhanced, a sport suspension has been added, and adaptive air suspension is available.

New features include voice-controlled ride height adjustment, rear-wheel steering, and brake-by-wire technology for improved handling and braking performance.
Pricing is expected to be around 65,000 USD in the North American market.
