Renault has unveiled its concept car, the Emblème, showcasing the company’s vision for next-generation low-carbon family vehicles. This new innovative model aims to push the boundaries of decarbonization while serving as a prototype for future-oriented family cars.
The Emblème is developed by Renault’s electric vehicle division, Ampere, and builds upon the company’s Scenic Vision concept that was introduced in 2022. Engineers focused on minimizing carbon emissions across all stages of the vehicle’s life, including resource utilization, material selection, production, usage, and end-of-life disposal, setting an ambitious goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% over its entire lifecycle.

Half of the materials used in the Emblème are recycled and can be recycled once the vehicle reaches its lifespan, achieving a 70% reduction in the carbon footprint during parts production.
The Emblème features an innovative dual-energy powertrain located in the rear lower section, utilizing both electricity and hydrogen fuel, an ideal solution for minimizing carbon emissions during both short and long-distance driving.

With the unveiling of the Emblème, Renault Group has reaffirmed its commitment to playing a pivotal role in the low-carbon mobility sector. The company has established greenhouse gas reduction targets in line with the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, aiming for global net-zero emissions by 2050 and net-zero emissions at its European facilities by 2040.
