The Lexus ES remains a popular choice in the premium import sedan segment. Seven years after the current generation’s debut in 2018, the ES continues to win buyers.

Its popularity can be attributed to its spacious interior, which is made possible by its front-wheel-drive layout, and Lexus’s well-known smooth ride quality and strong reliability record. With the current model nearing the end of its product cycle, interest in the next-generation ES is steadily increasing.

A recently released rendering imagining the next-generation design drew notable attention across the automotive industry. The following provides a closer look at the proposed design.

AI Rendering Teases Aggressive New Styling

The YouTube channel AA-CARS released an AI-generated rendering that envisions the upcoming Lexus ES350. Lexus launched a second facelift of the ES last November for the Chinese market. Since the recent model was released exclusively for the Chinese market, expectations are rising for the arrival of a fully redesigned next-generation model in global markets.

This design prediction combines styling features from existing Lexus models with design elements expected in future vehicles. The front fascia replaces the traditional spindle grille with a wide trapezoidal shape, accompanied by sharply contoured headlights emphasizing a stronger look. A horizontal grille pattern and two-tone five-spoke wheels create a more contemporary and refined appearance.

Fastback-Inspired Trunk Lid Blending Luxury with Practicality

The concept’s rear styling features a trunk lid that subtly slopes like a fastback, giving the car a sleeker profile. Thin, stretched taillights strike a balance between futuristic aesthetics and classic elegance. Vertical air vents on the rear bumper and a prominent black high-gloss trim area underscore the sporty look.

The interior retains key Lexus elements but adopts a more modern, user-focused approach. The center display is enlarged and separated from the center fascia, while the analog clock has been removed. Controls on the center stack have been reorganized with a driver-centric layout, and the mechanical gear shifter is retained, emphasizing continuity and reliability. Expanded use of leather on both sides of the center console contributes to a more refined and premium feel.

The ES is offered exclusively in the 300h hybrid configuration and two trim levels: Luxury Plus and Executive. This model combines a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a hybrid system, generating a combined output of 218 horsepower. It is certified for a combined fuel economy of 17.2 km/L (approximately 40.5 mpg).
