Porsche’s First Hybrid 911 Hits 194 MPH—Debuts in Seoul This Week

Porsche Korea will unveil the new 911 model for the first time in Korea at the upcoming 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, which opens on April 4.

The latest iteration of the iconic 911, which has represented the Porsche brand since its 1963 debut, features a groundbreaking ultra-lightweight high-performance hybrid system.

Porsche’s Icon: The New 911 Takes Center Stage

The 911 Carrera 4 GTS to be showcased at the Seoul Mobility Show is the first road-legal 911 equipped with a high-performance T-hybrid system. The vehicle has a 3.6-liter engine with a lightweight electric motor, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph).

The new 911 also features enhanced aerodynamics and introduces the model’s first fully digital instrument cluster.

Moreover, the car features the Porsche Driver Experience Control concept, incorporating the classic 911 design with modern technology for intuitive operation.

Drivers can expect an elevated experience through customizable driving modes and advanced driver assistance systems.

Porsche’s Electrification Strategy: Macan Electric

The Macan Electric, Porsche’s second full EV, is expected to attract significant attention at the show.

Jörg Kerner, Vice President of Product Line Macan, will introduce the Macan Electric and lead the press conference.

The Macan Electric delivers up to 639 horsepower in overboost mode and offers a combined range of 474 km (295 miles) per charge.

This model reflects Porsche’s electrification strategy, combining sports car performance with sustainable technology.

Porsche’s Diverse Lineup Takes the Stage

In addition to the new 911 and Macan Electric, Porsche Korea will present 13 models at the Seoul Mobility Show. These include the classic 904 Carrera GTS, Formula E car 99X Electric, Taycan Turbo GT, Taycan GTS, Panamera GTS, and Cayenne GTS.

The exhibition’s theme, “Porsche. There is no substitute,” emphasizes the brand’s identity and future roadmap and highlights Porsche’s leadership in the sports car market.

Matthias Becker, CEO of Porsche Korea, stated that we’re expanding our product portfolio and increasing investments to strengthen our brand value in the Korean market and offer unique experiences to our customers here.

He added that we plan to showcase models at the Seoul Mobility Show that embody Porsche’s innovative technology and captivating design, sharing our brand’s future vision with Korean customers.

The 2025 Seoul Mobility Show will be held from April 4 to 13 at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.
