On April 18, U.S.-based electric bicycle brand Aventon officially introduced its latest electric bike, the Pace 4, significantly enhancing smart bike technology and rider convenience, according to electric vehicle media outlet Electrek.
The Pace 4 is equipped with the Aventon Control Unit (ACU), a smart bike technology system that includes GPS tracking, geofencing, and remote locking features—dramatically improving theft prevention capabilities. With these features, riders can track their bike’s location in real-time, receive alerts if it leaves a designated area, remotely lock the rear wheel, and set a start-up passcode.
The Pace 4 features a 500W rear hub motor that delivers up to 864W of peak output and 60Nm of torque. Paired with a 36V 20Ah battery, it offers a maximum range of 112 kilometers (approximately 70 miles). Comfort has been enhanced with a suspension seatpost and ergonomic handlebars, while the step-through frame design makes mounting and dismounting easier. It also comes with 27.5×2.1-inch urban tires, providing stable rides not only on paved roads but also on relatively smooth trails.
The bike is available in three colors: Flint, Mica, and Blue Steel, and can be purchased through Aventon’s official website and certified dealers. Accessories such as racks and fenders are sold separately. The price is 1,799 USD.
