Hyundai Announces N Vision 74 Pricing: Limited Edition Supercar to be Released in 2026

The Hyundai Pony Coupe, once an unfortunate concept that never saw production, is coming back in the form of the N Vision 74. Originally unveiled as a concept car, the Pony Coupe was set to be mass-produced, but its development was scrapped due to profitability concerns. It could have significantly impacted the automotive world if it had been released with a design similar to the DeLorean DMC-12. Now, decades later, the Pony Coupe’s spirit is revived through the high-performance N Vision 74.

A Supercar with a Price Tag to Match

The N Vision 74 is expected to cost between KRW 300-500 million ($205,000 to $343,000). Even at the lower end, it will be the most expensive car in Hyundai Motor Group’s lineup. For comparison, the most expensive Hyundai model currently is the G90 long-wheelbase, priced at approximately KRW 182 million ($125,000) with all options included. The high price of the N Vision 74 is justified by its status as a supercar, featuring advanced technology, hydrogen fuel cells, and a limited production run of only 200 units. As a limited-edition model, its value may increase over time, making it an even more appealing prospect for collectors.

Projected Specifications and Performance

Currently, information related to mass-produced vehicles is only known to the extent that “mass-produced vehicles will be released,” and no other specifications or related information is known. Therefore, we can only reference the information released in the concept car. In the case of the concept car, it is said that it will be equipped with dual motors on the rear wheels, generating 671 horsepower and 91.8 kg.m, and that the top speed can exceed 250 km/h. There is talk that the mass-produced vehicle will be equipped with one motor on each wheel and will be a four-wheel drive.

It is equipped with two 2.1 kg hydrogen storage tanks and charges the battery through a fuel cell stack with an output of 85 kW. The battery capacity is 62.4 kWh, which is the level of a typical electric vehicle. Still, power consumption is high since it exhibits ultra-high performance, so the battery capacity is generously secured. The target driving distance is 600 km (372 miles) or more. In addition, it is said that drifting is possible with twin motor torque vectoring, and heat management is excellent even in harsh driving situations through the 3-channel cooling system.

Mass Production and Limited Availability

At last year’s Investor Day, Hyundai officially announced the mass production of the Vision N 74. It said it would produce 200 units two years after its launch in June 2026. Hyundai has provided related information to its partner parts suppliers to meet this schedule.

The N Vision 74 mass-produced vehicle is significant in many ways. It can prove the excellence of Hyundai’s hydrogen electric vehicle technology and will be one of the few high-performance hydrogen electric vehicles.
