Bentley held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new electric vehicle (EV) assembly line at the company’s headquarters in Crewe, England. The project centers on renovating the factory’s oldest building and installing a new production line for battery-powered EVs.

This initiative is part of Bentley’s long-term “Beyond 100+” strategy, which aims to launch its first EV by 2027 and achieve an all-electric lineup by 2035. Over the next decade, Bentley plans to introduce a new hybrid or electric model each year.

Bentley funds this strategy internally, investing substantially in its Crewe facility to underscore its commitment to UK production. The new manufacturing plant is designed to set next-generation benchmarks in digitalization, flexibility, and value-added manufacturing operations.

The company emphasized that its new painting process will offer around 100 bespoke color options, further enhancing its capacity for customized production.
