Audi officially unveiled the specifications of its Q5 TFSI e, the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the third-generation Q5.

This model can travel over 1,000 km (621 miles) on a single charge and recharge in just 25 minutes, setting a new benchmark for hybrid SUVs.

The Q5 TFSI e also boasts a pure electric driving range of 120 km (75 miles) under WLTP standards, marking a significant leap in battery performance and efficiency.

The Q5 TFSI e is Audi’s latest PHEV in the third-generation Q5 lineup. It features an upgraded 26 kWh battery that, based on WLTP standards, allows up to 120 km (75 miles) of all-electric driving.

During a short coffee break, drivers can recharge in areas with strong charging infrastructure. The vehicle’s combined gas-electric powertrain achieves a total driving range of over 1,000 km (621 miles).

Powerful Performance Meets Advanced Platform

The powertrain is equally impressive. The new Q5 TFSI e has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo gas engine with a high-output electric motor and a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission. It significantly boosts overall performance.

System output ranges from 295 to 360 horsepower, depending on trim. The electric motor enhances acceleration and agility compared to previous models.

This setup enables confident highway passing and strong off-the-line performance.

The vehicle is built on Audi’s newly developed PPC (Premium Platform Combustion) platform, optimized for mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. This platform will underpin future Audi diesel and gasoline vehicles.
