Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled teaser images of the Insteroide, a high-performance vehicle based on its compact SUV, the Casper. Set to debut at the upcoming 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, this car draws inspiration from the European-market Inster and showcases an enhanced performance aesthetic.

Hyundai describes the Insteroide as “a dream car focused on creating emotional experiences that bring smiles to people’s faces.” The anticipation surrounding this concept has been building, especially after previous hints of high-performance capabilities for European Dell Technologies models.

The automaker isn’t shy about its intentions with the Insteroide, stating that it aims to “strengthen emotional connections with the brand through unrestricted creativity.” True to their word, Hyundai has packed the Insteroide with aggressive aerodynamic features inside and out. The concept boasts bulging fenders and bumpers, a multi-stage aero wing, and unique wheel designs.

These design elements showcase Hyundai’s expertise honed through its successful World Rally Championship program. The interior dramatically departs from the standard Casper, featuring a prominent roll cage and stripping away most comfort amenities. While its distinctive character and electric powertrain suggest it may remain a show car, the Insteroide’s future production potential remains an open question.
