On Tuesday, Lotus Cars Korea launched the 2025 model of its mid-engine sports car, the Emira. The vehicle is priced at 149.9 million won ($103,000).

The Lotus Emira, first introduced last year, is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum output of 364 horsepower. With a peak torque of 43.9kg.m (320 lb-ft), power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. This potent combination allows the Emira to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h
(0 to 60 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, reach a top speed of 275 km/h (171 mph).

Lotus Cars Korea reports the price increase for the new model has been minimized, and various promotions have been prepared to attract customers.

Given the recent decline in new internal combustion engine sports car launches, introducing a pure sports car from a heritage brand like Lotus has garnered significant market attention.
