Lamborghini’s flagship SUV, the Urus, prepares for a significant redesign as it enters its second generation. Serving as a pioneer in the global super-SUV market, the Urus is set to push the boundaries of performance and luxury. Recent renderings, created by Georgian designer Giorgi Tedoradze, offer an exciting preview of what’s to come, showcasing a striking evolution in the Urus’s design that could shape the final production model.

The 2028 Urus renderings highlight an updated front-end design that reflects Lamborghini’s latest design language. While retaining the aggressive stance that has become synonymous with the current Urus, the new model is noticeably more refined and sculpted. This represents a clear evolution of the brand’s iconic styling.

The Next-Gen Urus: Elevating Lamborghini’s Iconic Look

One of the most striking features is the redesigned headlight configuration, which now frames the iconic Lamborghini emblem. Moving away from the sharp, linear design of the current model, the new headlights adopt a bifurcated structure, blending vertical and horizontal elements. This change gives the front end a more dynamic, three-dimensional look, enhancing the Urus’s presence on the road.

The split layout between the upper daytime running lights (DRLs) and the lower main beams enhances the visual contrast from day to night, underscoring the Urus’ identity as a high-performance SUV. This evolution expands the Urus’s design language while staying true to Lamborghini’s brand consistency.

The next-gen Urus also hints at some significant changes to its bumper design. The renderings depict a more aggressive, angular lower section, with larger air intakes that emphasize the SUV’s sporty character. This combination of bold contours and aggressive lines gives the front end a sculptural, powerful presence.

Preserving Brand Identity While Pushing Boundaries

These design changes go beyond just aesthetics. The next-generation Urus is expected to feature a more powerful powertrain, which will require structural upgrades to manage heat dissipation and improve aerodynamics. The new bumper and intake designs are tailored to meet these performance needs while staying true to Lamborghini’s visual identity.

Iconic hexagonal details, louver-style air intakes, and a prominent blade element at the lower center reinforce the Urus’s status as a Super SUV. This perfect blend of design and functionality reminds us that the Urus is not just a luxury SUV—it’s a high-performance machine at its core.

In conclusion, the next-gen Urus is poised to build on the success of the Urus SE while embracing innovative design that stays true to Lamborghini’s identity and future vision. While the final production model may evolve, these renderings hint at a major shift in the super-SUV market, paving the way for the next chapter in Lamborghini’s SUV legacy.
