Bentley, long synonymous with luxury and high performance, has unveiled a surprising twist. The brand, once known for its mighty W12 engines, is now showcasing models equipped with V8 engines paired with electric motors, ushering in a new era of hybrid technology.
This move isn’t merely following the eco-friendly trend. Instead, Bentley has pioneered a new segment of premium hybrids, boasting power outputs that surpass their existing high-performance models.

The newly revealed lineup includes the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible (GTC), and Flying Spur. Each model is available in two distinct trims, Core and Azure.
While positioned below the existing Speed variants, the new Bentley Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur Azure models are by no means lacking in performance.
These models feature Bentley’s next-generation plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system, combining a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with an electric motor and a substantial 25.9kWh battery.

The powertrain delivers an impressive 671 horsepower (680 PS) and 694 lb-ft (930 Nm) of torque, outperforming the previous generation’s W12 engine.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (approximately 0 to 62 mph) takes just 3.7 seconds for the Continental GT, while the GTC and Flying Spur complete the sprint in 3.9 seconds. In all-electric mode, these models can travel up to 85 km (approximately 52.8 miles), with CO2 emissions as low as 30 g/km (approximately 48.3 g/mi).
The design has been meticulously refined. Azure trims feature a gloss black matrix grille with vertical slats, exclusive 22-inch wheels, and Azure badging for added distinction.
Inside, Bentley’s signature wellness seats come standard, offering massage functions, heating and ventilation, and even neck warmers in the GTC model.

Long-time Bentley enthusiasts may find this shift surprising. The gravitas once embodied by V12 and W12 engines is now being complemented by electric powertrains.

However, Bentley hasn’t simply capitulated to eco-friendly trends. Instead, they’ve leveraged electrification to set new performance benchmarks while reinforcing their identity as a luxury brand.
While the Continental and Flying Spur models, along with their Core and Azure trims, each offer distinct personalities, they share a common underlying philosophy.
This philosophy seamlessly blends high performance, electrification, and emotion-driven luxury – the hallmarks of these new models.

Bentley is charting its course for the next century with ambitious goals: to offer the quietest high performance, the most refined well-being, and the most beautiful electrification.
This trio of V8 hybrid models marks the beginning of this journey, serving as a pivotal milestone that could reshape the automotive industry.
