Shelby American, known for producing high-performance versions of the Ford Mustang, introduced the 2025 GT350 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nearly six decades after Carroll Shelby’s first vehicle, this model marks the most powerful GT350 ever released.

The new GT350 has a 5.0L V8 engine producing 480 horsepower. For buyers seeking more performance, a 3.0L supercharger is available, increasing output to 810 horsepower. Customers can opt for an automatic or manual transmission, with the manual version featuring a short-throw shifter for more direct engagement.

2025 GT350 Receives Key Enhancements

The 2025 GT350 includes several notable upgrades, including lowering springs, a new sway bar, and a Borla cat-back exhaust system. It rides on 20-inch forged alloy wheels fitted with Shelby-specific performance tires. This model balances aesthetics and performance better than some previous Shelby models.

Key exterior features include an aluminum deep-draw hood, a three-piece front splitter, a unique grille insert, and signature Shelby badging. The rear design includes a ducktail spoiler and Le Mans-style stripes. While the model comes with dark-tinted windows, shading may vary based on state laws. Additional options include a rear wing and a carbon fiber appearance package.

Limited Production and Interior Highlights

The GT350’s cabin features leather seat covers with Shelby embroidery, custom floor mats, branded door sill plates, and a dashboard plaque with a unique serial number. Manual models include a classic-style ball shifter. Production is limited to 526 units, initially launched through select Ford dealerships in the U.S. with plans for international availability.

While full pricing for all variants hasn’t been released, Shelby confirmed the supercharged GT350 will start at 109,999 USD.

GT350R: The Ultimate Track-Ready Variant
Limited to Just 36 Units

Shelby will also offer the GT350R for those seeking maximum performance. This track-focused version pairs the supercharged 5.0L V8 with a six-speed manual transmission, producing over 830 horsepower. It also features chassis reinforcements and the JRL suspension system, making it ideal for high-speed performance. Only 36 units will be built and assembled at Turn Key Automotive in Michigan.

Early reactions to the GT350 lineup have been highly positive, with enthusiasts praising its mix of classic design and modern performance.
