Tesla Drops Model Y Juniper with 476 km Range and Cybertruck-Inspired Looks

Tesla Korea announced that they are opening orders for the full lineup of the refreshed Model Y Juniper. The Model Y Juniper features a futuristic exterior and interior designs reminiscent of the Tesla Cybertruck and can travel up to 476 km on a single charge.

Known internally as Project Juniper, the refreshed Model Y showcases a forward-looking exterior design that echoes the Tesla Cybertruck.Engineers have improved the overall aerodynamics from front to rear, with a redesigned bumper and integrated taillights marking significant functional and aesthetic enhancements.

Stealth Gray is the standard exterior color, with Pearl White, Glacier Blue, Ultra Red, and Quick Silver available as premium options. Launch Edition buyers can choose Glacier Blue, Ultra Red, or Quick Silver at no extra cost.

The rear-wheel drive (RWD) and Launch Edition come with 19-inch and 20-inch wheels, while Long Range AWD buyers can opt for either 19-inch or 20-inch wheels at an additional cost. Tesla has expanded the use of premium materials, with black as the standard interior color and white available as a paid option. New features include ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and Alcantara trim. The Launch Edition gets exclusive badging on the door sills and console, plus puddle lamps.

Second-row seating sees major upgrades, including power-folding functionality, wider seats, and improved headrests. The legroom in the back has also been slightly increased.

A new 8-inch rear display allows second-row passengers to enjoy video content or personal entertainment via Bluetooth headsets. This screen also gives rear passengers control over media and climate settings.

The Model Y Juniper boasts a refined suspension, a quieter cabin, and a more intuitive driving interface, enhancing the overall driving experience. Engineers have fine-tuned the wheels and tires for a smoother ride, while improved aerodynamics have extended the vehicle’s real-world range.

The RWD trim offers a maximum range of 400 km, tops out at 201 km/h, and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. Both the Long Range (AWD) trim and Launch Edition deliver up to 476 km of range, a 201 km/h top speed, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds.

The Tesla Model Y Juniper represents a comprehensive upgrade over its predecessor, with improvements spanning exterior design, interior quality, and driving dynamics. For the RWD, pricing starts at $39,742, $47,355 for the Long Range AWD, and $54,750 for the Launch Edition. Estimated delivery times are 5-6 weeks for RWD and Long Range AWD models, and 3-4 weeks for the Launch Edition.
