Cadillac has taken its iconic full-size SUV, the Escalade, to the next level by introducing the long-body Escalade IQL. The latest model has generated significant buzz thanks to its enhanced size and performance.

The Escalade has long been Cadillac’s flagship luxury SUV, with more than 1 million units sold globally over the past 25 years. Known for its blend of comfort, style, and power, the Escalade has built a reputation for excellence. Now, with the release of the Escalade IQL, Cadillac aims to push that reputation even further. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new.

Built on GM’s EV Platform – Longer and More Spacious

The Escalade IQL is based on the Escalade IQ, which Cadillac introduced last year. Both models are built on General Motors’ BT1 platform, which was designed specifically for electric vehicles. The IQL is powered by a 200 kWh NCMA battery pack supplied through Ultium Cells, a joint venture with LG Energy Solutions.

What sets the IQL apart is its increased length. While it retains the same wheelbase as the Escalade IQ, the IQL stretches an additional 106 mm (4.2 inches), bringing the total length to a massive 5,803 mm (229 inches). This increase translates to improved passenger comfort and additional cargo space — key upgrades for buyers seeking both luxury and practicality.

Sleek Rear Design and Impressive Performance

The Escalade IQL isn’t just longer; Cadillac has refined the rear design to enhance its overall aesthetic. The model features redesigned rear pillars, a new rear window, and a smoother roofline for a more sophisticated look. However, the taillights and rear bumper carry over from the existing model.

This model is based on the same platform as the existing model. It has a 24-module 205 kWh battery and boasts a driving range of 740 km (460 miles) on a single charge. The maximum output is 750 horsepower, the maximum torque is 108kg·m, and the zero-to-100 km acceleration time is only 4.7 seconds. The maximum towing weight is approximately 3,400 kg (7,496 pounds), boasting excellent performance.

High-End Interior with Executive Comfort

Inside, the Escalade IQL continues Cadillac’s tradition of premium craftsmanship. A 55-inch curved display anchors the dashboard, while the second-row Executive Seat Package brings first-class comfort to the rear passengers. This package includes a retractable tray table, a 12.6-inch personal screen, a rear console with two wireless charging pads, and heated, ventilated, and massaging seats with 14-way adjustment. Headrest speakers further enhance the in-cabin audio experience.

Competitive Pricing for a Luxury SUV

The Escalade IQL will be available in the North American market for $132,695—only $688 more than the Escalade IQ. Despite its increased size and upgraded features, Cadillac has kept the price increase minimal, positioning the IQL as an attractive option for luxury SUV buyers.
