Nissan has launched the new Kicks subcompact SUV, targeting the Middle East market. It is a completely redesigned model that is completely different from the existing model, and it has the same specifications as the new model released in the US last August. At the official event held in Dubai, Nissan emphasized the strong individuality and design innovation of the new Kicks, confident that it will present a new paradigm in the existing subcompact/compact SUV market.

A Premium, Aggressive Crossover Design

The new Kicks features a larger body and a more aggressive appearance than the existing model. The side panels, inspired by the soles of athletic sneakers, and the 19-inch alloy wheels maximize the dynamic feel. The length, width, and height have all been extended, further enhancing its presence on the road. It is no longer a simple subcompact SUV but a crossover with a premium feel.

Powertrain and Performance

The powertrain combines the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine with the latest Xtronic CVT transmission to simultaneously achieve powerful acceleration and best-in-class fuel efficiency. Nissan emphasized that it is “the optimal package that captures both agile driving feel and economy” and expressed confidence that it will demonstrate excellent performance in various road environments in the Middle East market.

High-tech Interior with Cutting-Edge Safety Features

Inside, the new Kicks offers a significantly upgraded interior, with more spacious and luxurious materials that elevate it to the level of a mid-size SUV. The panoramic sunroof and ‘zero gravity’ seats ensure a comfortable experience, even on long drives. The center console features two 12.3-inch digital displays, offering an advanced infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Kicks’ premium sound system includes a 10-speaker Bose setup, providing high-quality audio for an enhanced driving experience.

Nissan prioritizes safety, and the new Kicks is equipped with the company’s semi-autonomous ProPILOT system and standard features such as automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic warning, and lane-keeping assist. Nissan is confident that these features make the new Kicks one of the safest SUVs in its segment.

Available Trims and Nissan’s Future Plans

The new Kicks is sold in the Middle East in four trims: S, SV, SV+, and SL. Five new models will be launched by 2026 as part of Nissan’s global strategy, The Arc. Through this model, Nissan aims to solidify its position in the Middle East market further.
