Lotus Korea announced a price freeze for the 2025 midship sports car Emira model as it begins sales in Korea.

While the luxury sports car market is experiencing an overall price increase, Lotus decided to maintain the existing price of about 149.9 million won ($104,000) despite rising raw material prices and price fluctuations.

Lotus, competing with Porsche and Aston Martin, has devised a strategy to defend its “cost-effective sports car” title and further target the enthusiasts.

The Emira is one of the internal combustion engine sports cars that are gradually disappearing. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates a maximum output of 364 horsepower and a maximum torque of 43.9 kg·m.

Combined with an 8-speed double-clutch transmission (DCT), it reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds from a standstill and has a top speed of 275 km/h (171 mph).

Limited Edition for Increased Performance

In addition to the existing model, a “manual transmission limited edition” equipped with a V6 3.5-liter supercharged engine was also introduced for consumers who want more powerful performance.

This model will be sold in limited quantities of 20 units. It boasts powerful performance, accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and a maximum output of 405 horsepower.

The top speed reaches 290 km/h (181 mph), and it is equipped with a limited-slip differential (LSD) so that drifting is also possible.

Customer-Centric Services and Mobile Maintenance

Lotus has also strengthened its services to increase customer satisfaction and vehicle sales.

In preparation for the winter season, it introduced the Eletra Care Program and provided a vehicle inspection service that visits customers directly.

This program features professional technicians who have acquired repair and diagnosis qualifications at Lotus’ UK headquarters and HVT (High Voltage Technicians), who are experts in electric vehicles, visiting customers directly to provide maintenance services.

Customers can quickly receive vehicle inspections without visiting a service center. Currently, Lotus sells the internal combustion engine sports car Emira, the electric SUV Eletre, and the electric GT Emeya.

Details on Lotus’ new vehicle purchase benefits and customized services can be found at the flagship showroom.
