Renault unveiled the 2025 facelifted model of its mid-size SUV, the Espace, in Europe. This update brings a more refined design and the latest hybrid powertrain, enhancing its position as a flagship SUV. Built on the CMF-CD platform, the Espace offers a 3-row, 7-passenger layout and an impressive hybrid driving range of 1,100 km (684 miles), making it an attractive option for consumers.
With this update, the Espace features a more masculine and angular silhouette, significantly improving its appeal. The vehicle is 4,746 mm (187 inches) long and has a wheelbase of 2,738 mm (107.9 inches). It remains competitive within its class, and the increased height enhances passenger space and comfort.

Bold Front-End Redesign Adds Sophisticated Flair
The front of the facelifted Espace adopts a design language inspired by the latest Rafale and Captur models, giving it a robust appearance. The sharply sculpted LED headlights and newly designed daytime running lights (DRL) create a distinct presence at the front, while the single-frame grille is differentiated with various patterns depending on the trim.
At the rear, the size of the taillights has been reduced, and a modern light signature has been applied, emphasizing a refined look. New interior color options like Baltic Blue Grey and Light Sand Grey elevate the premium feel and create a more upscale atmosphere.
The sliding rear bench and a trunk capacity of up to 2,225 liters (78.5 cubic feet) support the vehicle’s practicality as a multi-passenger family SUV. Five-seater and seven-seater configurations are available, targeting a wide range of consumer needs.

684 Miles Range: A Game-Changer?
The 2025 Espace features a self-charging hybrid system, pairing a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine with dual electric motors. This powertrain delivers a combined output of 197 horsepower (200 PS) and an impressive 1,100 km (684 miles) range, making it especially appealing to those who frequently drive on highways.
The optional 4 Control Advanced rear-wheel steering system reduces the turning radius at low speeds and enhances high-speed stability, reducing the driving strain typically associated with large SUVs. The CMF-CD platform, with its high-strength lightweight structure, delivers quietness and driving stability.
