Cybertruck’s Armor Falls Off—Nearly 2,000 Recalled for Loose Trim

Transport Canada has announced a recall of the Tesla Cybertruck.

According to Bloomberg, the decision was made because the exterior parts of the vehicle may loosen and detach, increasing the risk of a collision.

The updated recall notice states that certain trucks’ outer stainless steel trim panels, known as cant rails, may not have been properly secured. Detached panels could pose a hazard to other drivers on the road.

Transport Canada said the recall applies to 1,995 Cybertrucks from the 2024 and 2025 model years. According to Tesla’s website, this includes vehicles manufactured between November 13, 2023, and February 27, 2025.

They added that the manufacturer would email owners and instruct them to contact service centers to have the affected parts replaced.

Meanwhile, earlier in March, U.S. safety regulators also announced a recall of Cybertrucks sold in the United States due to issues with exterior panels.
